Udawalawa Wild Eye Safari began with a simple dream: to share the raw beauty of Sri Lanka's wildlife through a unique perspective. Our founder, L.D.I.Rangana, was raised in the villages surrounding Udawalawe. He grew up watching the elephants cross the lake and hearing the calls of the eagles. This deep-rooted connection to the land allows us to offer more than just a tour—it's an insight into the soul of the forest.
To inspire a deeper appreciation for nature through immersive, educational, and sustainable wildlife adventures. We envision a future where Udawalawe remains a safe haven for elephants and where every visitor leaves as an ambassador for wildlife protection.
The Vision
"My vision was never just to show people animals. It was to invite them into a world where they can feel the heartbeat of the wild. Udawalawe is my home, and through Wild Eye Safari, I want to share the profound peace and raw beauty of this sanctuary with you."
Founder & Lead Naturalist
We believe that eco-tourism must give back more than it takes. At Wild Eye Safari, 10% of all bookings are channeled directly into anti-poaching initiatives and community education around Udawalawe. We operate 100% plastic-free safaris and ensure our vehicles adhere to strict emission and noise regulations, minimizing our footprint in the wild.
